The Dragon's Maw

The Dragon's Maw is an underground labyrinth beneath a smoldering volcano close to Hammerstad City. This maze of roads has so many caverns and corridors none truly know what all lay beneath it but It is said that if one can learn to maneuver the deep roads and survive the dangers of the dark chasms, there are treasures to be found so old the gods barely remember their existence. One such danger, however, belongs to that of a sect of devote priestesses that gather in one of the rooms where they worship Volvagia the Goddess of Fire. They don't care for their rituals to be disturbed.

Chasm of the Petrified

the Chasm of the Petrified, more frequently called "Leaning Castle" by the locals, is literally as both names suggest; a massive hole dives deep into the earth in the southern mountains of Hammerstad and dangling at its edge, frozen solid, is an ancient Dwarven palace. The palace is said to be haunted by its old inhabitants (then again what isn't in Lorccan?), and to hold thousands of treasures...if you can find them without dieing.

Karelia Caverns

These caverns have been shrouded in mysteries for generations. No one can figure out the phenomenon behind the massive cave trees; except that when the crystals, which appear to come from the trees like sap, are introduced to oxygen they glow, providing excellent energy sources for Hammerstad's underground cities as well as enchanted weapons among other uses. Unfortunately the harvesting of such crystals is unbelievably dangerous and should only be handled by a professional. Karelia Caverns are located roughly 5 miles north of the capital and they stretch for a recorded 10 miles both north east and north west. They are open to any who wish to gaze at their beauty, for a small admissions fee.

Granashard

The seat of power in the Dwarven empire; the city is a massive valley of stone houses and castles built out of the side of a mighty mountain. The other half of the giant kingdom is underground in a giant fortress built out of a restructured mountain. The architecture is sharp and sturdy aligned with many rune symbols. Many mines both active and abandoned surround this capital city. Steam technology is rampant here.. clouds of black smog can be seen rising to the sky from miles away. Only the healthy and strong --as well as the greedy survive here. Massive intimidating Golems guard the city gates.
